UG Program

COMMUNICATION SYSTEM LAB

Objective of the Laboratory:

  • To study & measure the performance and properties of digital communication systems.
  • To implement FSK,ASK&PSK Digital communication systems

Outcome:

  • A student who successfully fulfills the course requirements will be demonstrated:
  • To generate and process analog and digital communication signals including the design, implementation.
  • Ability to program a communication system with MAT lab functions

COMPUTER NETWORKS LAB

Objective of the Laboratory:

  • To create the scenario and study the performance of various computer network protocols through simulation and using trainer kit.
  • To connect digital machines & understand how the data or file is moved between entities through serial & parallel communications
  • To understand the working of sockets in networks
  • To know how the resource is efficiently allocated to various entities that participate in  data communications
  • Outcome:
  • Students get exposure to the real implementation of the computer network scenarios

 

DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING LAB

Objective of the Laboratory:

  • To study the time domain and the frequency domain representation of signals.
  • To implement the IIR and FIR filter using MATLAB.
  • To implement the processing techniques using the instructions of TMS320C5X/TMS320C67XX/ADSP 218X/219X/BS531/532/561

Outcome:

  • A student who successfully fulfills the course requirements will have:
  • Ability to program digital signal processing algorithms in C and MATLAB, including the design, implementation, and real-time operation of digital filters, and applications of the fast Fourier transform.
  • Ability to program a DSP chip with a variety of real-time signal processing algorithms, such as filtering for noise reduction or digital audio effects.

VLSI DESIGN LAB

Objective of the Laboratory:

  • To study the basics of   digital circuits and to study about Verilog HDL.
  • To design different logic designs like accumulator and simulate the same using Verilog HDL.
  • To design the FPGA chip configuration and placing & routing of different modules by mapping on FPGA

Outcome:

  • Students will be able to design digital circuits and verify its function using verilog HDL.
  • Students will be able to understand the logic of sequential and combinational circuits.
  • Students will be able to understand the time required for each module through synthesis tools and to know about  the s/w like Cadence and tanner.

 

Electronics LABORATORY

Objective of the Laboratory:

  • To gain the basic knowledge of design and testing in the Electrical circuits based on theorems. 
  • To study and experience the characteristics of Electronic devices.

Outcome:

  • Students will be able to test and measure the various electrical quantities in designed circuits.
  • Students can design suitable electrical circuits for required method. 
  • Students will be having knowledge to test the status and operations of electronic devices.

OPTICAL AND MICROWAVE LAB

Objective of the Laboratory:

  • To study the characteristics and various optical fiber parameters using different types of optical cables in single and multi-mode.
  • To study about various optical sources and optical detectors and their use in both analog and digital in the optical communication system.
  • To facilitate the student to become familiar with active & passive microwave devices & components used in Microwave communication systems.

Outcome:

  • Students can identify the type of fiber optic cable and test their parameters.
  • Students will have the awareness to select appropriate optical source and detector for different applications.
  • Students can operate and modify the setting in any kind of microwave equipments.

 

ELECTRONICS SYSTEM DESIGN LAB

Objective of the Laboratory:

  • To encourage the students turn out to be familiar in various power supplies and their performance.
  • To facilitate the students to design and test different communication system design and experience their procedure.
  • To enable the students to write program for various applications using Micro controllers and DSP processors.

Outcome:

  • The student can design AC/DC power supplies with different modes.
  • The student can implement various communication techniques for appropriate applications.
  • The student can write Assembly language program and implement the same for various processors.

PG Program

ELECTRONICS SYSTEM DESIGN LABORATORY  [ME/AE]

Objective of the Laboratory:

  • To give the practical knowledge about Microprocessor and Microcontroller.
  • To analyze the real time signal processing in MATLAB.

Outcome

  • The students empower the talent to design Electronic system.
  • The students will be capable of picking up the signal and analyze.

 

VLSI DESIGN LABORATORY I_ME_VLSI

Objective of the Laboratory:

  • To introduce about the VLSI design system for the entry level post graduate students.
  • To design the combinational and sequential circuits using Xillinx module.
  • To Design and simulate the various MOS circuits using Spice tools by different methods.
  • To Design the filters using FPGA

Outcome

  • Students can design the various circuits in VLSI system designs.
  • Students can write the coding individually for system designs using Xillinx and implement in FPGA.
  • Students can implement the MOS circuits in SPICE tools.
